Hate: intense hostility and aversion usually deriving from fear, anger, or sense of injury

Why do we hate?  I’ve always tried to be open minded to anything that I was presented with.  I realize that not one person shares the same beliefs, data, creed, statistics, opinions or idiosyncrasies of another person.  Lately I have been trying to figure out why bigots exists.

Bigot: a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices ; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group with hatred and intolerance

Even more specifically what turns a person into a bigot and why is it so hard for some to accept differences?  Is it fear?  Is it anger?  I don’t know.  What I do know is I am incapable of putting that stress on myself.  Why can’t we as a people disagree, be individuals and have differences without the hate?

Maybe nobody can truly give me the answer to those questions.  Never the less here is my view on a lot of the topics that I think plague these United States of Northern America.

POLITICAL PARTIES

In the United States of America there are generally five different political parties that get national attention.  These parties include The Democratic Party, The Republican Party, The Libertarian Party, The Constitution Party and The Green Party.  The two major parties of course being The Democratic and Republican Party.  Over the years each party has been put into categories as to what issues they agree and disagree with.  These issues include but aren’t limited to legal abortion, gun control, taxation, immigration, the War In Iraq and capital punishment.  Why do we have these parties and what are their purposes?  If you ask me… for no reason and they serve no purpose but to make people feel like they belong to something.  I am still astonished at the amount of people who are so dedicated to their party that regardless of a candidates stand they will vote for that candidate.  There are a number of people in this country that vote against their interest just to stay faithful to a certain political party.  I DON’T BELIEVE IN PARTIES!!!!  If people were challenged to vote for an individual based on their platform and not based on the (R) (M) (Q) (LSD) (D) (THC) or (Y) next to their name the people running our country, I feel, would be much more honest.  Americans today treat our government officials like Hollywood celebrities and not the people making our laws and deciding where our taxes are spent.  George Washington was neither a Dem or Rep.  Things should have stayed that way.  People today argue about politics as if either of the major parties care about any of us.  I don’t feel like the USA is the same country I read about in history class.  Can anyone give me one GOOD ABSOLUTE reason why we need political parties that doesn’t include division (something this country doesn’t need more of)???  When we start forgetting about parties and whether or not our parents have raised us to be Republicans or Democrats we can began to learn more about individuals in our government.  We then can began to force these politicians to stand  on their own two feet and quit relying on their parties to make up their ideas.

RACE

The estimate of people living in the USA is 305,376,000 or around that.  The majority being White Americans who are the ancestors of mainly European settlers of the early colonies (73.9%).  The breakdown of white America according to the 2000 census is: German (15.2%) Irish (10.8%) English (8.7%) American/Unknown(7.2%) White Hispanic (6%) Italian (5.6%) Polish (3.2%) French (3%) Scottish (1.7%) Dutch (1.6%) Norwegian (1.6%) Scott-Irish (1.5%) Swedish (1.4%) Russian (0.9%) French Canadian (0.8%)  The next largest majority being Hispanics or Latinos at (15.1%).  African American (12.4%). Other (6.2%). Asian (4.4%). Multi-Race (2.2%) Native American and Alaskan Natives (0.78%).  Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (0.14%)

What are we in this country?  What is anybody?  This country had pride in the fact that we accepted…  What is hair color, when 5% of men under 40,  40% of men over 40 and 40% of all women dye their hair?  What is eye color?  With millions of people wearing colored contacts.  What is skin color?  When an overwhelming amount of people alter the color their skin in one form or another.  To me all of it means nothing.  The color of your hair, eyes and skin don’t mean SHIT.  If you think it does, tell me the benefits?  In 100 years over 99% of us living in the world today will be DEAD, gone and no longer breathing.  Start the countdown and see how far you make it.  100 years.  So why do we try to put some type of superiority on certain races?  Just like every other species Homo Sapiens are all the same.  We all breathe the same.  We all think the same.  We all bleed the same.  We all die the same.  Race is something that is made up and doesn’t exist.  If you think it does, remember the majority of scientific evidence points to Africa as the origin of the modern human.  Regardless of what you know about race, you are wrong, we are all from the same seed and we will all return to dirt together.  Love and respect every human as the same.  Fuck race!  Fuck gender!  Fuck all the other BULLSHIT!  LOVE PEOPLE!!!  LOVE!!!!!!!!!!  ::SIGH::  We’re taught stereotypes and racism.  Are you more intelligent than that?

SEXUAL ORIENTATION

Hetero or Homo.  Are you born that way?  Do you choose it?  Let me ask this question.  When did any of us decide to be straight?  When did you decide I am gonna like girls?  When did you decide I am gonna like boys?  Was it high-school?  Middle-school?  3rd grade?  Kindergarten?  When?  Think about it SERIOUSLY.  What day did you wake up and make a conscious decision to be straight or non-straight?  What day did you debate with yourself whether you were gonna be heterosexual or homosexual?  Was it March?  May?  August? December?  I don’t know if it’s genetic or not but I do know that nobody chooses their sexuality.  Do you realize there are men and women today that force themselves into marriages trying to convince themselves they are heterosexual.  They even go so far as to have children and then later in their lives can’t take it anymore and finally give into what it is that they are.  How do you choose attraction?  How do you choose an urge?  Now ask yourself, religion aside, what is wrong with homosexuality?  Is it nasty?  If you think so, what makes it nasty?  Personally I don’t care.  Why does who a person decides to love have to be such a topic?  We can bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki and feel comfortable while in the same breath believe that homosexuals are gonna destroy the world.  Get over it people.  Lesbians and gays do bleed and feel.  Nobody chooses to be hated.  Nobody chooses to be an outcast.  That is something society places over their head.  If  the bible is the only proof you have that homosexuality is wrong, then you have no proof.  When did you choose?  If we all choose then is anybody truly hetero?  If we all choose then what does that mean?

RELIGION

Religion is like a crutch, those who use it are wounded and it is something that helps them get by everyday.  My crutch may not be the same as yours, but it serves the same purpose.  Don’t be so quick to take my crutch from me.  You don’t realize while you are reaching out to take my crutch away you are dropping your own.  What’s wrong with having something that gives you hope?  What’s wrong with having something you can believe in?  I do believe religion has become too commercial.  If you believe in something that should be between you and your mind.  Some people are very vocal about their religion.  That is up to the individual.  There is an incredible amount of religions throughout the world.  Choose what you want.  I understand religion is a strong motivator for belief.  All I am saying is your religion is one of an extreme many.  It is!!!  Take that however.  YOUR RELIGION IS NOT THE ONLY ONE!!!  Take that however.  THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF RELIGIONS!!!  UNDERSTAND?  And yes atheism is a religion, whether you wanna admit it or not.

This entire post is pretty much a rant for me.  I figured I would kill a few topics that have been crowding my mind for some time now.  Whatever it is that you feel separates you from the next person is the very thing that connects you to them.  We have more in common than we have NOT in common.  Our learned thoughts are our only difference in the major scene.  Politics, race, sexual orientation and religion doesn’t change anything on this planet.  You cut me, I bleed.  I cut you, you bleed.  Until we can put aside BULLSHIT we wont be able to reach our highest potential.  I want rebuttals.  I want to hear what you all think, because I have lived most of my life confused as to why so many people judge.  Tell me why you are better than me and I will be more than happy to tell you why you aren’t.  LOVE.
