808’s and Heartbreak

Kanye West dropped his new album this week titled 808’s and Heartbreak.  The album is interesting because it has an underlining art theme that is missing from most rap music these days.

With heavy use of auto-tune’d singing Kanye probably has a lot of Hip Hop heads, well, scratching their heads.  I must say although this album is no College Dropout, it does have some substance.  Seeing what Kanye has been through since he created Graduation (mother’s death and a couple arrests), his change in course is understandable.  Welcome to Heartbreak featuring Kid Cudi, Heartless, Amazing featuring Young Jeezy and See You in my Nightmares featuring Lil Wayne are some of my favorites.  With Pinocchio Story strong in lyirical content it also gets kudos.  Here is the track listing from wikipedia.  West fans be sure to check the album out.
