Ok, heres what I think.

Kanyes new CD, love it or hate it, has more soul and heart placed in it than anything I’ve heard/seen in a long fucking time.

Some people don’t believe in artist, they think we don’t really mean  it, and we just wanna live day-to-day by selling ridiculous, so called  “fine” things. Our skills have nothing to with being good, or worthful.  Haah.  There have been artist that help tighten the reign of ignorance since…like…Polynesian war era [1].  Kanye West has helped add to the artistry of music with his latest albumn “808’s and Heartbreaks”. I would confidently say, Kanye currently has a shit load of power in the world, and also in the world of art.  Out of all the living people who “claim” to be artist, I believe Kanye is your man.  I mean hes cocky, but is that a reason to bash somebody?

On another note, African-American artist on the whole, have been down played in this nation for way too long.  Think about it.  How many black artist can you name? in art history we study a shit load of poor white hermits, but we hardly hear anything about African-American artist.  I think we went over 2 the whole time (one being Jacob Lawrence). Because of this, I have to believe at one point in time almost all white people were racists…they didn’t “know” it was wrong for black people to be equal to them…I mean they were from Africa.  In a world where art and race have been so unfairly treated, there’s just gotta be some change.  So I believe, and this might make you  laugh, but I believe Kanye is trying his hardest to help both these problems.
