So along with the book page, I figured I would add a page that does short reviews on movies I have seen.
Notice: The following are my opinions, don’t hurt your head.
Comedy
Totally Baked(2007) – A short movie that is dedicated to dispelling the “truth” about marijuana. Although not great, it goes between
Animation/Shorts
Title: Boundin’ (2008)
Synopsis: A Pixar short about a sheep that gets it’s fur shaved, and becomes embarassed about its pink color. In the end he gets over it, because he becomes used to it.
Reflection: Everyday people put up with things that they get used to in order for something greater in life.
Title: Geri’s Game (2007)
Synopsis: A Pixar short which shows a man playing chess against himself. He gets so into it, he becomes confused to which player he is and switches the board around so he can win.
Reflection: I really don’t know what they were trying to get across with this short. Maybe that a little creativity can go a long way?
Title: For the Birds (2008)
Synopsis: A Pixar short where a group of birds sitting on a telephone pole wire are making fun of this big ugly bird. He flies over there and lands right between them, the wire bends, and they push him off. He lands safely on the ground while all the other birds get flung up in the air. When they come down, they have all lost their feathers and the big dumb bird laughs.
Reflection: Although the big bird got made fun of by 12 or so small birds in the beginning, he gets the last laugh by seeing all of them embarrassed by being naked.
Title: Lifted (2007)
Synopsis: A Pixar short where an alien ship is trying to abduct a kid from his bed. It seems as if the driver of the ship is trying to pass a test, and the teacher is making comments on how he does. The only problem is that the control board is huge, and the kid doesn’t know how to handle the ship.
Reflection: So far the best short I have seen. The kid is over burdened by the amount of controls he had to learn, yet the teacher knows how to maneuver the ship to perfection due to experience and knowledge.
